December points bonus

Hello, all! It's December, and if you've been here before, you know what that means: it's time for our annual holiday points bonus.

For the month of December, all orders in the Shop of points and paid time (whether for you or as a gift) will have 10% of your completed cart total sent to you in points when you finish the transaction. For instance, if you buy an order of 12 months of paid time for $35 (350 points), you'll get 35 points when the order is complete, to use on a future purchase.

This bonus only applies to orders of paid time and points: rename tokens and bonus icon slots don't receive bonuses. If you buy paid time for a friend, the bonus points will be sent to you, not to them.

The order must be completed in the month of December. IMPORTANT: "the month of December" is defined by server time (which is in UTC), not by your local time zone. So, if you're in EST, the promo ends on December 31 at 7PM your time. Every year a few people think that they have more time to make an order than they do, so if you want to take advantage of the promo, it's a good idea to do it before the last day.

(Speaking of thinking we had more time than we did, we got hit by that this year: we all thought it was still November, so we hadn't activated the bonus yet until just now. Anyone who completed an order yesterday or this morning before we turned the bonus on didn't automatically get the points, but I have a list of all the carts that were affected and I'll be manually sending out the bonus points. Sorry about that! I'm genuinely surprised it took 10 years for that to happen...)

Question, my current paid time runs out July next year, if I pick up another year's paid time now would that hold off until July and then kick in? Because I'd love to take advantage of this but the gap is pretty big.

Yes, when you buy 12 months of paid time and apply it to your account, that adds 12 months to your current expiration date.

Oh, I didn't remember this was a thing, and I bought the subscription for myself earlier today... But I only bought a 6 month subscription. If I buy another 6 month subscription, will it just sit in my profile until the first 6 month sub runs out? Nevermind, this was covered in a comment above.

But anyhows...I haven't been here since the doors were first opened, but it's been great nonetheless and I want to sincerely thank you for that. And, Dreamwidth works well thus far on my iPhone.
