It turns out that theory I had 16 years ago about "if you run a site without any bullshit and just tell people what you're doing and why, they will be massively on board" was true after all!
All GOOD systems (that users are fanatical about) seem to at least partially follow this rule.
(And people forget it also works in customer service too!)
