Yeah, Alex linked the paid account features chart -- we kind of struggle with presenting it because sometimes it's "here's this feature that costs us more to offer so we keep it to paid accounts", sometimes it's "here's this little added bonus to a feature that everyone can use", sometimes it's "higher limits for a feature that we put limits on", etc. The philosophy behind paid accounts is kinda "one part stuff that costs us extra money/puts extra strain on the servers to offer, one part small improvements that make the paid account more attractive but not having it doesn't ruin the experience", and we're always trying extra hard not to fall into the trap of "make a shitty version of the site and charge people extra to avoid the shittiness" that a lot of places fall into :/

(Also, it doesn't help that there are SO MANY features on the site and half of them are impossible to find! It was a problem on LJ and we've been chipping away at it for 15 years by now, heh.)

The mass privacy tool is probably the one thing I most wish we could make available to everyone but it's so resource-intensive, sigh. But I'm really glad that it helped!
