Heyyyyy, actually, you might be a good person to ask that thing I've been idly poking at for a bit: I'm not sure which country you're in (and I'm not asking you to tell me!) but do you think offhand whether would it be cheaper for you if we enabled our payment processor's "dynamic pricing", aka "they present the price to you in your own currency using today's exchange rate plus I-think-it's-2% exchange fee and then immediately convert it into USD on their end"? It would definitely be cheaper if your bank charges you a conversion fee on credit card orders that's higher than 2%, but it could also potentially be cheaper for you if the exchange rate against USD fluctuates a lot and your credit card bank doesn't give you the option of exactly which day they finalize the charges and which day's exchange rate it uses; you would be able to choose exactly when in the month to make the charge based on the exact exchange rate that day. (On the other hand, it could potentially wind up being more expensive if your credit card bank doesn't charge you a currency exchange fee, which is why I haven't just enabled it. Maybe I'll give people advance warning and then enable it for a week and ask our international folks to check every day that week and tell me whether it would potentially be more or less expensive for them. Hmm.)

I've been playing with the various payment options they offer (and I've stealth-enabled a whole bunch of new payment methods that were recommended given our international audience composition as a soft trial before announcing them), but I don't think there's any way for us to offer people the ability to pick between the dynamic pricing or the "pay in USD, your bank does the conversion" based on whichever would be cheaper for them. I need to poke at it more :/
