See, here's the thing: Denise genuinely means it. She actually wants to see what will happen if you run a Dreamwidth clone and make different decisions with it! Maybe you're right, and your decisions will be better, and she'll think more about your advice; maybe you'll be a huge success, and she and Mark will still keep running Dreamwidth exactly they way they have the past fifteen years, knowing that you are doing things better. But she really does want to see how you running your own version of Dreamwidth would work out.
