Yes, all of the things you mention are things I'm wary about too! It boils down to: reblogs improve discovery and appeal to people who are in it more for curation rather than content generation and people who are looking for a site with a lower engagement threshold-- all valid approaches, don't get me wrong -- but are offputting to people who are in it for more control over their environment and their content, which our existing userbase is more skewed towards. Like, technically speaking we could probably bang the feature out really quickly, it's making sure it doesn't mess with the existing paradigm of the site that's the problem. Don't worry, it's important to us that we not mess things up!
