Yeah, I've tried that a few times, but honestly I get stuck at what interests to put in! There's standards like "books", but I don't necessarily want to join a book community, specifically? I don't know how to explain it, but basically you can't get anything useful out if you don't have anything to start with. And personal recommendations are usually more valuable than profile descriptions, I've found.

But thank you for responding! I've probably just gotta get over the newbie, fresh-start feeling and jump in somewhere. I mean, I didn't find my other friendships/communities all at once in the beginning, either!
