Hee! I pitched my "Hard Problems in ToS Enforcement" for OSCON last year, and got a "not for this conference, but you should totally send us a query letter for the book if you want to write it" type rejection. It was at the height of my brainweasels being particularly stupid, so I never followed up on it, but they were at least theoretically interested!
