So, beginning with this code push, everything's using the same system -- that's why you'll start to see notifications appearing in your on-site inbox that only went to your email before. We know that some people want to bypass the on-site inbox and get all their notifications only by email: that's the next step, so stay tuned.

Inbox notifications for on and off journal comments is the greatest thing ever. One reason I pay to use DW is just to get email notifs on comments I make/replies made to me in other people's journals because there never was Inbox routing for those comments. I'd prefer not to have to check email, though (even when I am paying for an account; it's hardly the only reason I ever did) just to get those notifications. This is truly one of the greatest changes made to DW ever. :)
