Heeeeeeeeeeeee! XD Aw, brave Tommy, soldiering on with Adam. *pets them* And oh, why is Monte (heavyset guy, right? OMG why do I remember this?!? -.-) the guy to hate? *is curious* But yay, good to know that Adam (and band) is going strong. ♥
Every show a kiss? *LOL* Damn, now that's very slash-friendly, eh? Re Sauli: aw, yis! Does he do anything music-related, too?
They should make it part of schooling (diversity/culture subject thing, whatever) that people (abled and disabled!) learn how to approach/handle people with different disabilities. No more handing out BRAILLE menus to deaf people etc., YIS.
Re your hearing loss - wow, you really are a speshul snowflake, eh? *winkwinkwinks* /meant in a totally JOKING manner, in case you're all 'WTF' *g* - That aside, so there's only... waiting until you've reached 100% in both ears? Gah. A friend of mine decided against a CI, but she loves music (soul, hip hop, jazz, whatever) and writes song lyrics and all that, and she knows that her hearing will get worse and worse... agh. *flails* I can't even say 'I get you', because I was deaf from birth, although I did have hearing aids (big, clunky things) that didn't help much - only heard REALLY loud sounds - so I ditched 'em. Since then, silence! But then, it's not really a silent world because, vibrations! :-)
I once read that hearing people tend to perceive the stare of deaf/hoh people either as threatening or as an attempt to flirt. WTFNO. *lols*
(I totally hear you - I uploaded my stuff because of the 'OMG what if LJ goes belly-up and everything is lost!?!' thinking, so. Maybe a disclaimer 'LOL people I write SO MUCH better now but feel free to LAUGH at my less-than-mediocre attempts way back then?' *g*)
