I know that some communities have a good-neighborhood sort of thing about image and video descriptions, where if someone has something to share but isn't equal to the task of describing it for others, lets the community know that this is [media] but they're not entirely able to describe it at the moment, and the community pitches in.

I'm not sure if this is something that you would be comfortable with asking if others feel like doing for your icons, or if you'd be open to accepting descriptions if people offered them to you, but if you are, that could possibly be a thing.
