Most browsers have a "use my custom stylesheet instead of the site's stylesheet" option, so you could design your own version of the site skin and use that. (To the best of my knowledge it's not possible just to make it work for one site in any of the major browsers, which is why Stylish exists, but if your computer has trouble with Stylish, it might be an option.)
