heee, even better, a) it's the busiest week of the year at Mark's dayjob and he has a newborn in the house and b) i was totally out of my breakthrough pain meds for the past few days (my wife spent most of today tracking down a local pharmacy that had them in stock, thankfully!) but there's always something. :) in exchange for coping with the occasional moments of HI THE INTERNET IS HERE, I get to work from home in my pajamas. So, you know! It's all a tradeoff.
This week has been exhausting, but definitely exciting. It just makes me wonder why these things always happen during the holidays -- last year it was the Yahoo announcement about Delicious being sunsetted and the poor Pinboard guy suddenly having half the internet knocking on his door, for instance! I'm just so glad that we built for this level of traffic or greater right from the very start, we've definitely been able to weather the influx with nothing more complicated than adding a new webserver. If this keeps up, though, I'm going to have to start delegating answering dw_news comments a bunch!
and yes, I'm planning on taking Sunday entirely off, although I will probably bring my laptop with me to the gathering at my wife's parents' house just so I have an excuse to hide in the den from all the family. ;)
