I don't see DW as having a more complex interface than LJ
I agree with that. It's more intuitive as the menu structure is better laid out, but I think Feathertail's point was that both LJ and DW have a fairly complex interface compared to, for example, Twitter and Facebook, which keep a lot of stuff you can do hidden, so power users can do weird stuff if they want, but normal users never find the settings.
The thing is though, both sites are working on improving the interface, but LJs imporvements seem to have stalled somewhat recently.
