yup diversity statement (pointed there from a friend so ought to give her a nod as well) was what got me reading and looking and joining here. denise, I find that ASL comes to me when words get all wonky too (I keep losing nouns which is definitely a problem), I signed ASL lots years ago working in Deaf education before my hands blew out (and if it helps I learned "S" as a knuckle Sandwich because that's -apparently- how you're supposed to hold your fist to lunch someone)
