+1 to making all sections collapsible, +1 to the default checkbox (this is an awesome idea) and +1 to a clearer separation between scheduled posts and drafts but I'm sorry to say I actually prefer the current mockup to yours. I think it's clearer and better organized. Moreover, all those boxes make the page too busy for me (and the blue color hurts my eyes) and you can't select which journal you're posting to. :/
