I've been hosting everything on LJ because I had to.
I'm fantasizing here, but would it be technically possible to make a special image import? Like, import all my images from LJ and also move the references to those images that are in my journal? I'm only using them on DW/LJ anyway, and the links on LJ can stay on LJ. But if the links on DW could move, that would be even more awesome.
I know it would be a pretty slow import, since you'd have to search all my journal entries and replace the links. But... I am afraid I will lose them all (and break all my posts) if they stay on LJ. Moving them manually is out of the question.
I'm an iconmaker, so I have literally thousands of images, and I would be very sad if those disappeared along with my LJ account.
(500 MB is totally fine with me, btw. That's a lot of icons. :) )
