WOW! That's exactly what I need but didn't realize it was already available. I assumed the code replaced all the posts/comments with the default icon as soon as you altered an icon name - and that was that. I am so looking forward to trying that feature out as I'd like to retire some old icons :)

I've had a DW account for some time (since 2009) but spent 95% on LJ until recent events made me question the future security/privacy of my account there. Now I'm here more than I'm on LJ so I'm poking around DW to see what's different/new.

Thank you for responding to my request. I'm going to get a lot of use out of both replacing and renaming icons :)
