Ha, thank you for letting me know you read it all! I always start these posts swearing that I'm going to be as concise as possible and I always wind up with six thousand words anyway...

Yeah, Bitcoin is a possibility, but every time I look into it again, it's not a super practical one: the exchange rate fluctuates too much, and trying to convert BTC->USD and vice versa is a pain for people. (Also, the overlap of "people who use DW" and "people who regularly use BTC" is probably not very high, and I don't want to get stuck having to explain over and over again to people what BTC is and how to get some...) I also don't like how unregulated it is and how there's no predictable fees, and I really don't like how much energy use the bitcoin network/miners use...

Bitpay (the service) looks more and more feasable every time I check, from the standpoint of us actually implementing Bitcoin payments, but I don't know that we really want to open the door to all that user support for something I'm so conflicted about (both practically and morally).
