Hey all -- I'm sorry about the radio silence for the past few weeks (I've torn my rotator cuff and dislocated my wrist, and have been on minimal-typing for a while). I was hoping things would improve enough for me to do a full update, but enough people have been asking that I'll at least do a quick-hits:

* Check out [personal profile] erika's first Code Tour for development news.

* For the rest of 2011, we're concentrating on Mission: Feature Development. August's hackathon is usability bugs, so if you've been thinking of diving into DW development, check out the usability Bugzilla keyword for a list of the bugs eligible for a points bounty.

* We're increasing the bounty on styles submitted to [site community profile] dreamscapes, to help recognize the fact that creating a style is far more involved than creating a theme.

* Speaking of, there are new styles available for your journal: Five AM is now live, and Crisped and Dusty Foot will be going live with the next code push.

* I've been working on the [site community profile] dw_suggestions backlog, and will be moving more things over to Bugzilla in the coming weeks, so if you haven't stopped by for a while to give your opinion, now's the time.

I will be back with a more detailed update as soon as I can type more reliably! In the meantime, if you're having problems, Support is standing by to help you.

don't forget to do your PT, as a MT, I don't want to hear it 5 yrs from now that you had PT and didn't do it, and lost your ROM.

Good LUCK!

Oh, I do need to tell you and say thank you for such a fast import-journal service. Because of the data crash I imported my LJ archive to DW, and even if I had 5 years worth of posts, it was done within half an hour! Thank you!

Ow ow ow ow! I hope there's a really great story behind your wrist and rotator cuff injury, Denise. Because I share your rotator cuff pain, but OMG dislocated wrist? I can't even imagine. (Well, I can, but I'm better off not doing.) Here's wishing you a fast and complete recovery of strength, stability, and range of motion!

No interesting story, I'm afraid, just the fun of having a genetic disorder that mostly affects my joints. Fortunately it also usually carries fast healing with it, which means that I'm starting to get better; the shoulder is still wonky, but after two weeks of wearing a wrist brace nearly around the clock, my wrist seems to be stabilized enough to type with at the very least.

(The wrist tends to pop out fairly regularly, usually three or four times a year; I've gotten good at reducing the dislocations and subluxations myself. Some people pop their knuckles before typing; I pop my wrists to re-settle them! This time it went out from me lying on the floor to play with the cat, then trying to push myself back up to sitting position. Lean weight on wrist, wrist goes pop...)

I hope your shoulder gets better quickly, too!

Oh, my shoulder is fine. Well, with monthly massages, anyway. :)

I have a friend with connective tissue disorder that sounds much like EDS; with her it's her hips. *sympathy*

I hope you feel better soon. My little brother bashed his to the point he couldn't play baseball anymore. I know the slow recovery and time it takes. Just kind of chill down. You don't want to ruin your arm while getting itchy fingers.

I don't know if it has been mentioned yet or not, but it seems that content searching isn't working right now, for some reason. It says it isn't configured on the server.

This is part of the site slowdown issues we've been working to mitigate this week -- check out [site community profile] dw_maintenance for more detail. (We had to press the search server into service as a temporary webserver.)

Hello, I hope you're better now ? I wanted to ask something. There is no hurry about replying, really. But plz do advise when you are able to.

I want to import my lj to here. Possibly now wouldn't be a good time, what with - I'm quite sure - many ppl doing the same. Perhaps I should wait a week or 10 days or so ? Please give me some idea. I'm asking because it would possibly be a fair bit of stuff - given I've been on lj since latish 2004.
