I second this comment. I also love the preemptive answer to possible cries of "It wasn't broke--why fix it?" by explaining that there's a nifty new feature that requires the update.

(Even if there will always be a boxful of people who grumble that they wouldn't use that feature anyway, just as they'll never give up their hoe for an ox-drawn plow, dadgummit.)
